By accepting the general Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy, the user explicitly accept that Specure collects and processes personal data as specified below under the section "What data are processed and transmitted?" and for the purpose specified under the section "The purpose of personal data collection".

Specure only processes personal data with explicit informed consent of the users. By accepting the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, the user explicitly agrees that data collected from his device during the measurement, including personal data, may be shared with 3rd parties.

The user can control which data are provided from the device in the device settings and in the settings of Open Nettest. User’s consent to collecting the data can be withdrawn at any time. Any questions regarding this Privacy Policy can be sent to [email protected].

The purpose of personal data collection

The data collected via Open Nettest are used to assess, monitor and troubleshoot the capacity and quality of network services provided by internet service providers and mobile network operators. The user’s public IP address is being processed to determine the network operator, the approximate location and to identify potential improper use of the system. User’s location is used to assign a measurement to a spot on a map and to provide location-based statistics of the network performance. This provides users with information on the network coverage for a specific network or service provider at the level of regions, districts or cities.

What data are processed and transmitted?

The following data are collected on the user’s device, processed and stored in a database:

  • Connection speed in both directions
  • Network delay
  • Signal strength
  • Test results for the Quality of Service tests
  • Randomly generated client ID
  • Test time
  • User’s location
  • User’s time zone
  • Device type and model
  • Operating system
  • Private and public IP addresses
  • WLAN network ID (SSID)
  • Numerical WLAN ID (BSSID)
  • Type of connection
  • Name of mobile network
